At twilight today, Thursday, April 27th, a new day begins, the 20th day of "counting the Omer". That's one week and six days!
Every year 53 days, give or take a few, defined the year for the people of God including the early Church. Today we realize getting graphed into the big family history of Jesus means getting in sync rhythm of the year they knew so well. This Spring is linked by a series of weeks unlike any other time of the year. Live each day to the fullest!
PRAYER:
Thank you, Lord, for inviting us into your presence. On the twentieth day of counting the Omer, we bless You. Thank you for continuing to walk by our side through all seven weeks of the countdown to Pentecost! Amen.
