At twilight today, Wednesday, May 10th, a new day begins, the 33rd day of "counting the Omer". Today marks four weeks and five days of counting and is referred to in Hebrew as Lag b'omer.
Many of us want to make our days count. By coming into alignment with the biblical times and seasons, we become exposed to greater understanding of God's character and greater clarity of our own identity. Counting the Omer is literally a time of preparation and a perfect way to make the days count!
PRAYER: Thank you, Lord, for drawing us to you no matter how far away we are from you. On the thirty-third day of counting the Omer, we bless You. Thank you for continuing to walk by our side through all seven weeks of the countdown to Pentecost! Amen.
